- 2023/05/08 Prof. Kuroda visited Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, as the GEAC representatives. Prof. Kuroda as the GEAC members paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Kishida Fumio and presented a summary of recommendations in order to achieve gender equality, and expressed their expectations for further promotion of gender equality by Japan and other G7 member states.

- 2023/03/19 Prof. Kuroda gave a special educational lecture at the 128th Annual meeting of the Japanese Association of Anatomists held at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan.
- 2023/03/10 "Use of Conglomerate Mixed Crystals to Deracemize a Stable Racemic-Compound-Forming System" was published in Chemistry – A European Journal. This is an accomplishment of a long-term collaboration research with Dr. Gérard Coquerel at the University of Rouen Normandy in France.
- 2023/01/24-27 Prof. Kuroda gave a talk entitled “Left-right body plan of freshwater snails is determined by a single gene in very early embryogenesis” as an invited speaker at the 75th Yamada Conference "Origin of left-right asymmetry in animals" held at the RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research in Kobe, Japan.

- 2021/12/25 A combined vol. 35&36 of The Carrollian was published by the Lewis Carroll Society. This is to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the publication of “Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There” by Lewis Carroll. Prof. Kuroda was invited and contributed a chapter with the title “Through the Looking-Glass: From Molecules to Crystals and Snails”.

- 2021/05 Prof. Kuroda was appointed as one of 12 steering committee members of INGSA-Asia. INGSA (International Network for Government Science Advice) operates as an affiliated body of the International Science Council and is a collaborative platform for policy exchange, capacity building and research across diverse global science advisory organizations and national systems.
- 2021/04/01 Ms. Mai Shimizu and Mr. Kaito Tsuzuki joined the Kuroda Lab from Prof. Eri Ishikawa’s lab. (Department of Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering) as fourth-year project students.
- 2021/03/08 UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson convened the GEAC (Gender Equality Advisory Council), an independent group of experts under the UK’s G7 Presidency. The GEAC is responsible for championing the core principles of freedom, opportunity, individual humanity and dignity for women and girls around the world. Prof. Kuroda was among 19 members appointed and she focused on Women in STE(A)M careers and digital inclusion. This was covered by the Chunichi newspaper p.3 of the 2021/5/19 issue, and Asahi Newspaper p.19 of the 2021/5/31 issue.
- 2021/02/02 Prof. Kuroda gave a keynote speech at the Education Forum for Sustainable Development Goals - Girls’ Education and Innovation, organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hiroshima University and University of Tsukuba.

- 2020/10/14 The 80th Anniversary Symposium of Chubu University co-sponsored by The Club of Rome was held at Chubu University, and discussed “How Can Asian Culture, Science and Technology Create a Life-Centered World in the Post COVID-19 Era?” Speakers, panelists and commentators included Chubu University Chancellor Atsuo IIyoshi, Vice President Masashi Tsujimoto, and Head of Frontier Research Center Hisashi Yamamoto, and from The Club of Rome, 6 full- and 2 honorary- members, including Ernst Ulrich v. Weizsäcker as keynote speaker, Tomoyo Nonaka as Coordinator, co-chair Sandrine Dixson-Decleve, Chandran Neil, Hiroshi Komiyama, Yoshitsugu Hayashi and Reiko Kuroda as panelist, and Honorary members, Koichiro Matsuura (ex-Sec Gen, UNESCO) and Yoichi Kaya as panelist or commentator.

- 2019/11/19-22 Invited to visit the Argentine Republic, Prof. Kuroda exchanged opinions on science policy at Buenos Aires City Hall and Biology Institutes. She also gave a special lecture at San Martin University on “Science in Society, Science for Society and Society for Science” and at Laprata University entitled "Women in STEM and Women in decision making – Keys to vitalize our communities”.
